Design

Those familiar with the game Book of Ra Deluxe will probably see a lot of similarities in this game. Gameplay

Book of Dead is a fairly straightforward game. It is played on a 5x3 grid with 10 paylines. Line up a minimum of three matching symbols along a payline, and you’ve got yourself a win. If you land four symbols, even better. Five symbols? Splendid.

The game pays from left to right, and winning combinations need to start from the leftmost reel.

So how is the Book symbol both a Wild and a Scatter symbol? As a Wild, it will substitute for any winning symbol along a payline. As a Scatter, it will fill an even more valuable role: three or more Book symbols anywhere on the reels on a single spin will trigger 10 Free Spins. The Free Spins are played with the same stake as the bet that triggered the bonus round.

Book of Dead owes most of its fame to this fabulous free spins round. Before the round begins, a game symbol is chosen at random and becomes an expanding symbol for the duration of the Free Spins round. Gamble Feature

An entertaining feature in this game, and somewhat of a Play n’ Go speciality, is the Gamble feature.

After any win in Book of Dead, the player is prompted with two options: GAMBLE or COLLECT. Selecting COLLECT or SPIN will deposit any wins into the player’s account.

If the player selects GAMBLE, a screen will display a hidden playing card. The player can choose the colour, BLACK or RED, and will double their winnings if the correct colour is chosen. The player also has the option of selecting the correct suit for a 4x payout.

At any time, even if the player changes their mind and chooses not to use the Gamble feature, the player can click COLLECT to receive their winnings and be returned to the main game.
