Ice Hockey World Championship format

In the first round, the 16 teams will be split into two groups of eight, with the top four teams from each group qualifying for the quarter-finals. For Canada, it’s group B and match ups:

• vs Sweden (May 15th)
• vs Italy (May 16th)
• vs Denmark (May 18th)
• vs Norway (May 21st)
• vs Slovenia (May 22nd)
• vs Slovakia (May 24th)
• vs Czechia (May 26th).

Then, the next rounds will be the:

• Quarter-finals (May 28th)
• Semi-finals (May 30th)
• Bronze medal game (May 31st)
• Final (May 31st).
