Play Mustang Gold in New Zealand

Mustang Gold centres its pokies action on collecting valued horseshoes from the first four reels with a symbol on reel five. Pragmatic Play launched the Western video slot on 17 January 2019 with a 5x3 layout, 25 fixed paylines and a separate four-prize Jackpot Reveal game. Three Scatters start 8 Free Spins, and the overall maximum win is 12,000x the stake.

Mustang Gold Game Overview

Mustang Gold presents a desert frontier scene with horses, Western characters and familiar card ranks across five reels. All 25 paylines remain active, and the standard paytable determines which left-to-right symbol combinations produce a line win.

Mustang Gold gives the special symbols a distinct role alongside the base pokies format. Money symbols carry values between 1x and 35x, the Collect symbol gathers them from reel five, and selected Jackpot values lead into a pick-style reveal feature.

How Does Mustang Gold Work?

Mustang Gold uses 25 fixed paylines to score its regular reel combinations. After a stake is selected, one spin generates the symbol layout and applies the paytable, Wild substitutions and any special-symbol rules that qualify.

Mustang Gold does not allow its reel outcome to be affected after the spin begins. Adjusting the wager changes the monetary size of stake-based prizes, but it does not increase the programmed probability of Money, Collect or Scatter symbols.

Mustang Gold Money Collect Feature

Mustang Gold can place golden horseshoes worth 1x to 35x the stake on the first four reels. If a Collect symbol appears on reel five in the same result, every visible Money value is added together and paid.

Mustang Gold leaves uncollected horseshoe values inactive when the required reel-five symbol is absent. The collection cannot be scheduled by a player, and a run of spins without Collect has no effect on the random outcome of the next round.

Mustang Gold Jackpot Reveal Feature

Mustang Gold enters Jackpot Reveal when a Jackpot-marked Money symbol and the Collect symbol form the required result. Concealed choices are uncovered until three identical prize symbols reveal a fixed award of 50x, 100x, 200x or 1,000x the stake.

Mustang Gold does not link these awards to a progressive pool shared between players. Each tier is a preset multiple of the current stake, and the apparent choice of covered symbols cannot be used to control which prize the game assigns.

Mustang Gold Free Spins

Mustang Gold gives 8 Free Spins for three Scatter symbols. The special reel set includes more Money and Collect symbols, so the core collection feature remains available throughout the bonus.

Mustang Gold awards a further 8 Free Spins each time three Scatters return during the feature, and the provider publishes no fixed cap on the number of retriggers. Unlimited eligibility is not the same as a guaranteed extension, because every qualifying Scatter combination must still land randomly.

Mustang Gold RTP

Mustang Gold runs at 95.54% RTP in the Wildz MGA version used for the New Zealand page. RTP expresses the theoretical long-run share of wagers returned across extensive play and is not a promise to an individual player.

Mustang Gold can be supplied with other percentage settings elsewhere. The active game’s own information screen remains the relevant place to verify the percentage before beginning real-money pokies play.

Mustang Gold Volatility

Mustang Gold has a 7/10 Wildz volatility rating, placing it in the high range. This model may produce long gaps between stronger results, with many rounds returning less than the amount staked or nothing.

Mustang Gold still treats every spin as a separate random event. Earlier losses do not build towards a required payout, and selecting a different stake cannot make the game switch to a lower-volatility pattern.

Mustang Gold Maximum Win

Mustang Gold can pay up to 12,000x the stake under its published rules. The maximum is the ceiling for the complete game outcome, not the advertised value of any single fixed Jackpot Reveal tier.

Mustang Gold will usually finish well below that upper boundary. Achieving it depends on an exceptional random sequence, and neither extended play nor repeated bonus entries makes the maximum due.

How to Play Mustang Gold in New Zealand

Mustang Gold can be started by reviewing the help screen, selecting an available stake and pressing spin. Players can then follow the paylines while looking for valued horseshoes, the reel-five Collect symbol and three Scatters for the bonus round.

Mustang Gold players should check the RTP and all available limits shown in the current build before committing real funds. Legal-age and account-verification requirements also apply, while the chosen spin timing has no influence on the random reels.

Can You Play Mustang Gold on Mobile?

Yes, Mustang Gold can be played on compatible smartphones and tablets. The mobile version carries the same five reels, 25 paylines, Money Collect mechanic and feature screens as the desktop release.

Mustang Gold mobile pokies normally load through a supported web browser. A device or connection can affect how smoothly the game displays, but it cannot alter the configured RTP or determine a reel result.

Can You Play Mustang Gold for Free?

Yes, Mustang Gold is available in free demo mode at Wildz New Zealand. Virtual credits can be used to learn the paylines, collect conditions, fixed Jackpot Reveal prizes and Free Spins retrigger rule without risking deposited money.

Mustang Gold demo balances and awards cannot be cashed out. A successful practice session also has no predictive value because later real-money rounds are generated independently.

Mustang Gold in New Zealand

Mustang Gold appears in the Wildz New Zealand catalogue for eligible users who meet the site’s conditions. The title can be accessed as online pokies content while the country’s new online casino framework moves through its transitional implementation period.

Mustang Gold play is now covered by the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026, which came into force on 1 May 2026. Existing providers can operate under the transitional provisions, with further restrictions applying from 1 December 2026 and the full licensed regime expected in 2027.

New Zealand Rules for Mustang Gold

Mustang Gold real-money access falls under the online casino system administered by the Department of Internal Affairs. Online casino customers must be at least 18 years old, and operators are expected to apply the required player-protection and verification measures.

Mustang Gold is being offered during a phased regulatory change rather than an immediate move to the final licensing model. Providers that had been operating before 1 May 2026 may continue under the Act’s transitional rules, while licence decisions and the fully operational regime are scheduled for 2027.
